Conflict Resolution Training

Do your employees know how to de-escalate a situation to avoid it becoming a potentially agressive or even violent situation?

Do they know their rights within the Law?
If your answer is no, React UK could help.

In a survey of over 5000 safety representatives, the TUC identified workplace violence to be the fastest growing health and safety concern and ranked as one of the top five workplace hazards. Conflict and violence have serious consequences for employees, service users and employers in every sector, but the risks and effects of conflict can be significantly reduced through effective organisational strategies and carefully designed staff training.

React UK provide high quality training to ensure that these worries become a thing of the past.

Did you know that employers can be sued for negligence if they do not provide adequate training for employees to carry out their role with competence and confidence?

In 2012, a teacher from Birmingham was awarded £330,000 in compensation after she sued the Local Authority, as her employer, following a verbal assault (not physical). Her employer had not provided any form of conflict management or resolution training for her during her teaching career. The employer had failed to assess the risk to the teacher from conflict from people she would come into contact with and the effect this had on her health and well being.

Similarly, a shop assistant sued for compensation following the off-licence she managed being robbed. she was awarded £179,000.  In both cases, the employer had failed to ensure the Health & Safety of their employees where reasonably practicable.

If Conflict Management and Resolution training had been put in place, these claims would not have been awarded.
